‘One of the most venomous spiders in the world, but so rarely seen Sydney has spent over 18 years in her silk lined burrow, in the Morbank Botanic Garden. She comes out, only when dragged by her mates, and doesn’t really enjoy the adventure at all!’

Her burrow is bigger than the average funnel web because Sydney has a passion for cave diving. When she was a spiderling, she decided to expand her burrow, unearthing a small cave entry. She loves to go spelunking, exploring all the nooks and crannies in her down time.

This reclusive web designer is as shy and reserved as they come... So when she’s around you know it’s a special event!
