Cracker
‘Meet Cracker the Aussie Snack Horse... The Easygoing equine leader of The Crackerverse! If ever you need a good mate, or a delicious packet of Cracker Snacks, he’s your horse!’
Because he has lived his whole life in the rural, mining town of Mt Isa, Cracker had no idea of the other amazing places, people and food out there.
That was until he met a certain Western Grey Kangaroo called Ridgey Roo, who had come to town backpacking!
Along with his best mate Crikey the Bearded Dragon, it was the start to an amazing journey!

Crikey
‘Born in Cleland Wildlife Reserve in South Australia, Crikey knew the land like the back of his hand. No other member of the Crackerverse is more savvy when it comes to nature!’
Even though his knowledge of the flora and fauna within his cosy reserve is extensive. Crikey’s favourite thing to do, is to listen to tales from all of the travellers... So many yarns about their adventures to be heard! He dreams of one day heading out to explore, and go on his very own ‘Walkabout’.
In the winter, the usually energetic, Aussie Amagid enjoys his brumation, which is when reptiles slow down and chill. They still move about sometimes, but only when they can be bothered.

Bruce
‘Bruce the Greater Bilby was one of the first to join The Crackerverse and loves adventure more than any critter in the outback!’
This furry blue member of the bandicoot family loves insects, fruit and fungi in that order! Although these Australian Easter Bunnys are usually only seen at night time, Bruce often gets up early to play with his friends and look for bugs to eat.
You will almost always find him tagging along in any of the fun adventures that The Crackerverse gang go on. Usually sat up on one of his mate’s shoulders.

Chuckles
“Despite falling from his nest as a young chick and cracking his beak.. Chuckles never lets it bring him down! One positive kingfisher!”
A group of Kookaburras are called a RIOT! And that is exactly what it’s like to hang out with Chuckles... This funny, feathered fellow can be often found hosting “Open Beak Nights” at the famous Rockhampton Botanical Gardens.
The one place you probably won’t find our blue feathered comedian would be up too high in the trees... He is still not a huge fan of heights!

Cooee
‘Cooee is a lass with sass! She might sleep 18 hours a day but when she isn’t asleep, she is crackin’ one liners left, right and centre. A drop bear with attitude!’
Cooee lives entirely on a diet of eucalyptus leaves, and probably eats about 220kg a year!! She’s pretty fussy when it comes to her leaves as well, they have to be fresher than a daisy or she’ll be mad as a cut snake.
Living down in Victoria is bang on for this doe.. The perfect mix of coastal and forest ( although there are a few more houses than there used to be.. ) She loves to listen to the waves from her tree nook as she has a good day nap.

Boots
‘This steel cap dwelling dude loves a nice dark work boot. He lives in chaos in a messy web, and is always losing his stuff!’
Living in Western Australia is hot and Boots often stays safely in his favourite boot during the day. Disturbed occasionally in the mornings when he is rudely shaken out but a pesky farmer!
Even though our messy arachnid mate gets displaced all of the time, it doesn’t take him long to scamper along to find a new cosy home.. The dirtier the shoe the better... Just don’t ask him to help find something you’ve lost!

Bubbles
‘This glowing monotreme is full of energy. His bubbly personality means he is always surrounded by friends as they just can’t resist his joyous nature!’
Bubbles might seem out of place in the middle of Australia, but he was once rescued from poachers who had brought him into Alice Springs to sell to a zoo. Luckily some new friends helped him escape and he now calls the great outback home.
The locals even made him a special place to swim that always has ice cold running water all year round!
Despite his troubled history, you won’t ever find a friendlier character.

Clancy
“Clancy spent his wild, younger years up in the beautiful Kimberleys, making a big ol’ mess and having a few too many wild nights!”
As he has gotten older though, his desire for neck scratches and chats have begun to outweigh his wild ways. He loves to fly from verandah to verandah, asking for a cuppa and a wheat bikkie.
So, if anyone needs a mate who likes a good chin waggle and a hot cuppa, then hit this old bird up!

Cruise
“Cruise is one cool customer! Maybe even the coolest Fairy Penguin on the whole of Middle Island!”
Some say he got his signature sunnies from a famous movie star... A perfect fit! You’ll never see him not rocking them.
While he does check-in with the other fairy penguins from time to time, this smooth talking, flightless bird prefers to hang out with the famous Maremma dogs of Warrnambool.
If you are ever looking for him, you’ll find him cruising around with the boys, playing it cool and takin’ her easy!

Dotty
‘Dotty was a hard working ringer back in the day but has retired to enjoy the finer things in life. She was the best in the west on the stations, working every muster season, swinging through the property and reporting to the mobs whereabouts back to the drovers!’
Dotty raised a beautiful family, and they all lived on the road. She is now thankful though, for her permanent home in an old gum tree at Davenport Downs Station.
This old girl enjoys her home among the gum trees, watching a sheep or two and a kangaroo, in her old rocking chair. Nothing quite beats having the time to watch your family grow!

Edna
“Edna the emu is just obsessed with Choccie Eggs, and it doesn’t even matter what time of the year it is!”
Edna tries to keep her Choccie Eggs out of the hot Aussie sun by running from one shady spot to another.
She gets her running practice in by zooming past the police radars on Yardie Creek Road. A beautiful stretch of road spanning the cape, where she can really get a good trot on!
Sometimes, after a good slog, she hits Mauritius Beach to people watch. Emus are naturally curious animals, so people watching is a big pastime of hers.

Grub
‘’Not one to talk too much if at all, Grub the Dingo prefers to use his mouth for eating! If you’ve got a packet of delicious Cracker Snacks on you, you may need to keep your eyes out for this clumsy, canine, snack thief!’
Born in Sydney Zoo, Grub was one of 8 other Dingoes! Some say he got his insatiable appetite from competing for food with his many brothers.
Grub is also a bit of a scallywag though.. Almost always getting into strife. It was one such incident that got him booted from the zoo... Lets just say he may have accidentally let all of the snakes out into the gift shop! Whoops...

Goober
Goober is a Numbat. In all senses of the word. He is endearingly foolish, like most of his kind.. But none are more fun to have around!’
Goober shoots his sticky 11cm tongue into termite mounds, when the sun is at the top of the sky, and pulls it out super fast! No wonder they eat up to 10,000 termites a day!
Eating ants of course is not his only talent... Goober is one heck of a juggler, and is a legend at most party games. Be sure to ask him for a joke or funny limerick!

‘Leather Bob is living out his retirement in the waters of the Great Barrier Reef. Once upon a time, he travelled across whole oceans to grab some grub!’
You‘ll find this Dynamic Dermochelys now enjoying the lazy days, surfing the waves, eating jellyfish and hanging out near the beach he hatched on over 50 years ago!
Leather Bob weighs as much as a small car, so he doesn’t leave the waters of the reef too often. When you are the largest living turtle, and heaviest non-crocodilian reptile, you have some sway! But he does enjoy floating up to the shallows to check the ‘wave-riding’ form of the young Grommets! Cowabunga dudes!
Lou
“Lou the Southern Cassowary is a bit of a throwback. Not only because she’s basically a living dinosaur, but also because of her retro taste in music!”
Living in the tranquillity of the rainforest is where you will find Lou. You might not see her among the thick, green folliage.. But you will certainly hear the muffled sounds of her vintage cassette player!
An avid collector, this crested giant loves nothing more than finding old punk rock cassettes and rare seeds to plant in her garden.
Lou is very proud of her collection, she has some of the last trees of their kind in her care and she loves to show them off..

Mel Frillson
‘If you are wandering the halls of the Australian War Memorial, make sure not to leave your lunch box unattended.. You may find a slice of bread missing! Mel Frillson is a pro at finding tucker!’
While most other frilled-neck lizards try to scare people off, Mel prefers to make friends! Especially if they are packing some delicious grub (or grubs!)
Being a member of the Dragon Lizard family and having a species name of Chlamydosaurus, you would expect to meet a meaner customer, but Mel is one True, Blue, Aussie legend! Hand over a fat Whitchetty Grub and you’ll get yourself a bonza tour guide.

Mick
‘Mick Irwin is proud of his title for being the snake with the largest venom output in the world.. But he wishes he was more famous for his bonza bottle top collection!’
Living in Coober Pedy, which is known as the ‘Opal Capital of the World’, Mick is surrounded by some top tier collectors but you won’t find him hunting down any colourful minerals.. It’s bottle tops that catches his eye!
Much like the other residents of this town, Mick takes refuge from the heat underground, but will pop into the local pub to find new caps for his collection left by the locals! His most favourite item is a signed beer cap from a certain ‘Max’ who was known to be ‘Mad’..

Murray
“Possibly the most musically talented of the Crackerverse Gang! Murray loves nothing more than serenading his mates with a beauty tune!”
Even though all Aussie Magpies are bonza copy cats, Murray goes the extra slog. Using his love of music and his favourite slide whistle, this talented, monochrome, mimic is basically a feathered Juke Box!
Murray made his home in Fremantle, known as the home of live music in Western Australia! Fitting right in with the cool, hip bands that tour around town, Murray has made a name for himself as the “Bird of a Billion Bangers!”

This thorny skinned monotreme is as hard as nails and loves loud music and lifting heavy things. He is super strong for his size but will sometimes need a hand when his favourite deck of cards gets stuck on him.
He once lived in a zoo but is a master escapee so he likes to keep his skills fresh by getting into sticky situations and then escaping!

‘The youngest member of The Crackerverse, Patty the Pademelon is one cute customer. Never to be seen without her favourite stuffie alongside her!’
Patty the Pademelon is afraid of the dark.. Which makes it hard being a nocturnal thylogale as she is. Luckily she finds her bravery with the companionship of her best friend and stuffie she calls Melon. You won’t find them apart from each other ever!
Being awake during the day a little more than other pademelons does carry with it a few good upsides of course.. Like meeting all her new Crackerverse friends! Everybody loves and takes care of this cute little hopper!
